Special for Israel’s Independence Day
New in the Website
Is Israel Sovereign?
On October 2009, shortly after a violent Mossad attack on me, I published a series of three articles named “Is Israel Sovereign?” They signaled a profound change in this website; after that attack it became obvious the softer approach adopted by me in the past had failed. Since then these three articles have been unified in a single page, which can be seen here. The long text analyzes the external and internal legality of Israel’s sovereignty and concludes Israel is not sovereign either way.
The article(s) had been widely seen and linked; from time to time I still get answers to it. The most ridiculous one was from an American Zionist which claimed that since Ben Gurion got applauded after reading Israel’s independence declaration, it was formally ratified.
A few days ago I began thinking a proper article for Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day, which this year falls on May 10. Then, I got an odd email. But first, let’s look at the strange statement “this year falls.”
“This Year Falls”
Formally, civil affairs in Israel are conducted with the Hebrew calendar. That can be seen clearly on all official documents, where the Hebrew date is proudly stated. Unluckily this is a lunar calendar, wobbling in a 19 years cycle. The result is that everybody uses the Gregorian calendar as the main reference calendar – including offices from the Israeli Administration. Most of the calendars sold in Israel show the Gregorian date in large digits and the Hebrew date in small – almost illegible - digits.
Most Israelis would fail if asked to list the names of the Hebrew months in their correct order. “Rosh Hashana is in September or October” they’ll say hesitantly, mixing the Hebrew New Year with the Gregorian dates. The more exact answer “On Tishrei 1” seems much less clear. “When is Tishrei? ah, mostly in September!”
The same holds for Independence Day – formally on the 5th day of Iyar - which also includes a complicated set of additional rules to avoid it being celebrated on Sabbath or other inconvenient days. Given the ambiguity of the calendar – part of the Relativity Theory’s appliance to Israel as described in The Cross of Bethlehem - I allowed myself remembering the infamous event on a date of my convenience. In a way is a rejection of Israel’s authority to set a calendar, because as stated above, Israel is not sovereign.
Read all three of your articles on "Is Israel Sovereign?” My response would be, as someone who finds what
Zionists have done abhorrent, is yes...but... The problem is that you are assuming that "international law" is anything other then a fig leaf for the powerful. We have already had practical demonstrations in Iraq and now Libya as to who does and doesn't not abide by international laws in the eyes of the powerful. Strangely then, the situation in Israel is perfectly logical...for this reason...it is sovereignty by conquest and force of arms. The is even consent (of a sort) gained at the barrels of Uzi and Galil. You remember the old "Crusader States" don't you?
There were a few oddities and peculiarities in the text. The major one is that it was sent after I unified the three articles. Nothing mattered, the comment was worthy of an answer.
On Christian Values
In Humanism Fanatics; Gullible Christians I mentioned how long time ago, when I still could speak properly - I used to teach at a major Biblical Seminary. One of my students invited me to a meeting with “American preachers.” Shortly afterwards, I was in a crowded room. Two Americans were speaking in English; a translator rendered the message in Spanish. They belonged to an American organization called Pointman, which operates also in Russia. They kept bombarding the lambs with the following message:
”The correct order for a Christian to follow in his – or hers – loyalties is God, Nation, Family.” I couldn’t believe this. When did Jesus say “nation?” Never. It is all about loving God and the other; with “loving God” meaning “having Faith.” Human organizations are never values. This was the same Humanist, Communist, Jewish valueless ideology attempting now to spoil the Kingdom of Good. State sponsored fanaticism attempting to conquer the last barricade fighting evil. Around me, people watched Satan with stars in their eyes.
In Matthew 5:38-39 we read Jesus saying during the Sermon of the Mount: Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
There is no way a violent act can be justified through Christian doctrine. In the The Cross of Bethlehem I gave several examples what a Christian can do when facing the harshest decisions, including one dramatic night in the Road to Bethlehem. Obviously, I didn’t fear becoming as a result of these an enemy in the paranoiac eyes of the Jewish pseudo-state.
The reader comment on the crusader states was interesting, but those people were no more Christians than Genghis Khan, another infamous criminal. Interestingly, the term “crusade” has become fashionable for the justification of violent crimes. General Dwight D. Eisenhower described as “crusade” the D-Day invasion of Europe to the Allied troops in his order of the day broadcast. US President George W. Bush said on the day of the September 11, 2001 attacks: "this crusade, this war on terrorism is going to take a while." Let me summarize: War crimes cannot be justified by citing Christianity. Crimes committed by people claiming being Christians cannot be used for staining Christianity.
Christianity and Jerusalem
Earthly Jerusalem has no value to Christians:
Galatians 4:25-26 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
Revelations 21:2,4 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, … And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Moreover, the State of Israel is not the Kingdom of Israel and has nothing to do with Biblical prophecies. See The True People of Israel for more on that.
The crusaders crimes were performed exclusively for their masters financial gains. The same goes for the Genghis Khan Clan and for the Jewish “Mishpaha Lohemet.”
“Gained at the barrels of Uzi and Galil”
The the odd letter said Israel gained independence at the barrels of Uzi and Galil. I liked the graphic nature of the sentence, but even more its internal inconsistency. Neither internal or external sovereignty can be gained through violence (see Is Israel Sovereign?). Through violence you just can get a temporary pseudo-independence, like the one enjoyed by Genghis Khan and the Crusaders. History shall be repeated for a third time also for the terror inflicting state. Then, let’s barbecue.
