On December 24, 2013, the Interior Committee of the Knesset held a meeting on the ongoing destruction of antiquities in the Temple Mount. Invited to the event were Israel Police, Israel Antiquities Authority, and other organizations. "The situation has never been better," was the untrue but expected claim of the police while Member of the Knesset Orit Strook blamed PM Netanyahu on systemic destruction.

MK Strook is part of the most extremist settlers. She lived in Yamit; after the Sinai was returned to Egypt, she moved to Hebron.* During today's meeting she said "As a denizen of Hebron, I know that in the Cave of the Patriarchs you can't hit a nail without a deep archeological discussion. I wonder how in the Temple Mount, the most important archeological site, such lawlessness is possible."

She added, "We wouldn't abandon in such a way even the beams of our homes."

Even in this short citation, her extremism is tangible. She referred to the Dome of the Rock, al-Aqsa, and the other Muslim sites still active on the Temple Mount as "archeological sites." This is an eerie reminder that Israel plans a Third Temple on the site.

"Temple Mount is Archeology's Mother"

Archeology or Post-Modernism Architecture?

The discussion dealt with wood beams dated back to the First Temple and remaining topsoil removed by the Waqf during the construction of the underground al-Marwani Mosque between 1996 and 1999.

The translation of the mosque site's Hebrew name is Solomon's Stables; the Knights Templar headquarters were located there.

The mosque occupies the southeastern corner of the Temple Mount. It is several meters below the courtyard and features twelve rows of pillars and arches. For its construction, over 400 truckloads of soil and antiquities were removed.

About 60 truckloads of stones and earth were taken to a garbage dump in nearby al-Eizariya, and were lost forever. 350 Truckloads were dumped in the Emek Tzurim National Park, the northern side of the Biblical Kidron Valley, shown in the image. Nowadays, the soil is being checked for remains, but findings lack archeological value.

Committee Member Moshe Feiglin said "In Jerusalem, wherever you move a stone you find an archeological site. However, the Temple Mount is archeology's mother because it is the base of our existence. Our roots are buried in it."

Afterwards, he blamed the government on neglecting the site.

Jews in the Temple Mount

Traditionally, Jews avoided entering the Temple Mount
This is changing. The image belongs to a religious ruling by Yemenite Rabbi Shlomo Mahpud allowing entrance to the Temple Mount
The stamp with his signature is entitled "Yore De'a," roughly "He Will Teach the Opinion," but also "Opinion Shooter"

Civil servants participating in the meeting presented a different picture.

Yuval Baruch, manager of the Israel Antiquities Authority's Jerusalem District claimed that all his requests to enter the site are answered positively and that changes in the site are subject to his checking and the approval of the Ministers Committee for Sacred Sites. At this stage, reality started to emerge. He acknowledged that IAA is not responsible for the site and that things can be done without their knowledge.

Commander Avi Biton gave a delusional testimony. "IAA enters wherever they want, with a police permit. In all issues regarding the control of antiquities the situation is better than ever." Allow me to mention one more atrocity before taking out the reality-hiding Zionist veil.

Before the end of the meeting, the two mentioned MKs, Strook and Feiglin, asked to add to the protocol that a key issue in the destruction of antiquities is the secrecy imposed on the State Comptroller Report on the issue. They claim that the secrecy was aimed to avoid embarrassing the government, since it shows that Israel lacks governability on the Temple Mount and that it may bring wide international condemnation on the State of Israel.

Strook summarized "There is only one address to what happens in the Temple Mount, the Prime Minister is the only responsible."

Biased Discussion

The published parts of the discussion were astonishing. They mentioned the Muslim new constructions but failed to mention the ongoing Jewish expansion of the Western Wall. They also forgot to mention the Western Wall Tunnel. More worrying is that the lawmakers forgot to mention that the Temple Mount is in the West Bank+ and under the jurisdiction of the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf.

The Great Mufti of Jerusalem heads the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf, which since 1187 rules the place. Waqf is an unalienable trust dedicated to charity.

Dome of the Rock

Dome of the Rock

Israel Police issues permits only after having got one from the Waqf.

One may rightly criticize the Waqf works on the al-Marwani Mosque for they lack of attention to archeological details, but these works were coordinated with Israel. The hundreds of loaded trucks leaving the site were not a secret; Israel knew and cooperated.

The other side of the deal was a silent understanding between Israel and the Waqf on the opening of the Western Wall Tunnel by Israel. When the tunnel was opened after Yom Kippur 1996, extensive protests resulted in tens of deaths for both camps, mainly because Israel didn't stick to the agreed timetable with the Waqf.

Moreover, Israel destroyed the Moroccan Quarter,$ which dated back to 1193, and several other historical structures in the area without attributing any importance to archeology.

To the meeting was also invited a Jewish NGO called "The Public Committee for the Prevention of Antiquities Destruction." Neither the Waqf, which rules the site, nor the Palestinian Authority were invited. The mosques actives in the site were formally called "archeological sites" by a lawmaker.

This happened only months after related Israeli organizations virtually destroyed the Dome of the Rock, and after the inauguration of the symbolic Hurva Synagogue in the Muslim Quarter in 2010 (see Hurva: Ruin of Jerusalem.

Today Israel got closer to the construction of the Third Temple, and humanity got one step closer to stumble upon World War III.

Special Notice - Persecuted by Israel, Maimed by Bolivia

Under the leadership of Mr. Evo Morales, recipient of the 2006 Al-Gaddafi International Prize for Human Rights, I have been declared a Political Prisoner of Bolivia. My situation is acute, Western Human Rights organizations care not about those speaking against Israel, they do not care about those suffering under the violent hands of one of the main suppliers of "special sugar" to the West.
I attach here the bulk of a recent letter I sent to my lawyers, Despite their good will and astounding experience they failed to save my life. I am being punished illegitimately by beasts. I will keep publishing for as much as I can, but I am unlikely to survive here. Here is the text:

    Tortured by Bolivia

I apologize for this obviously incomplete email, the reason for my withholding much of what is relevant will become obvious.
I have been violated in several occasions by the Bolivian Government. The technique was constant. I was gassed unconscious in my room (both in the church and the guesthouses) and they entered the room and committed crimes.
It has stopped since I have solved the gassing attempts, and started to secure my room upon entrance. Next time they try it will mean my death. They know that.
One of the violations consisted in the introduction of magnetic-operated electrodes in my mouth. Breaking gums, nerves and filling with my bare fingers I had pulled them out. I can't stand the pain anymore. Visiting dentists here is impossible; in no way can I secure the event.
Other tortures include low-voltage electrocution through my bed and shoes. I have solved this.
I have no access to safe water and food.
These are not Bolivian technologies. The last item invented by the people inhabiting the area was dehydrated potatoes. They never developed writing. They just copy from others.
Other tortures and constant pressure form my days here. Yet, I have published every day, unless facing urging administrative issues with the site, mainly fixing attacks on it.
I can’t withstand it any more. My mouth is an open wound. My throat has not healed from the Bolivian Government attack on 2009. My nose and hears are being torn apart. I can't be more detailed over the web.
A few months from now, my American ATM card will expire. Afterwards, I will be on the streets and probably dead within a few hours.

    * Hebron is home to the Cave of the Patriarchs, where Abraham (see Genesis 23:1-20) bought a burial place for his wife Sarah from the sons of Heth. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca, and Leah—called the Patriarchs and Matriarchs of the Jewish people—are believed to be buried there. Rachel, the only matriarch missing, is buried in Bethlehem, where she died in childbirth. The actual structure atop the burial cave is much more recent, from Herodian times. The site is revered by Muslims and Jews. Thus, it is a center of violence.
Rabbi Meir Kahane was an American-Israeli ultra-nationalist rabbi. Kahane founded both the Jewish Defense League (JDL) in the USA, and the Kach (roughly "This is the Way"), political party in Israel. In 1984, Kach gained one seat in parliamentary elections, and he became a member of the Knesset. In 1988, the Israeli government banned Kach as racist and undemocratic under the terms of an ad hoc law. In 1994, following the Cave of the Patriarchs massacre perpetrated by Baruch Goldstein, a Kahane follower, Kach was outlawed in Israel and the US State Department listed it as a terrorist organization. Kahane was assassinated in a Manhattan hotel by an Arab gunman in November 1990 after Kahane concluded a speech warning American Jews to immigrate to Israel before it was "too late."

+ Following the 1967 War, Israel annexed East Jerusalem; this was formalized with the 1980 Basic Law: Jerusalem, Capital of Israel. The world opposed this law; the UN Security Council Resolution 478, adopted by fourteen votes to none, with the abstention of the United States of America, declared that the law was "null and void" and "must be rescinded." Yet, in 2013, Israel speaks not only of annexing Eastern Jerusalem, but the entire West Bank. In the current situation, Palestinians living in Eastern Jerusalem are considered "residents" and live under Israeli law, unlike their neighbors in Bethlehem or Ramallah. This has facilitated the theft of lands. The current situation is the result of British efforts to simplify the land ownership registration system used by the Ottoman Empire. Their intentions may have been good, but they never finished the process. After the city was split between Jordan and Israel in 1948, each country continued the British-designed regularization process. After the conquest of Eastern Jerusalem, Israel's Attorney General decided to freeze the process there. Due to the legal freeze, denizens cannot deal formally with their properties, they are forced to use "Power of Attorney" documents, and cannot easily divide properties. In year 2000, rumors claiming that Israel would deny residence to those living outside the city, brought back thousands that were attempting to settle elsewhere. Since then, East Jerusalem had become overpopulated. The odd legal situation has created a fertile ground for land-crimes.

$ "How is it?" Bolivians kept asking me while I was teaching at the Biblical Seminary. They wanted to know how Jerusalem, specifically the area known as the Old City, looks like. They expected me to repeat the descriptions appearing in the Bible, yet that was impossible. Two millennia of debris had changed the landscape. Old City is the area enclosed by an Ottoman Wall, which by local standards cannot be considered truly old; it is not even middle-aged, it was built in 1538 by Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. Biblical Golgotha is within the walls; within them everything is quite flat, it is difficult to imagine the Via Dolorosa as the steep way Jesus walked to His crucifixion. "He must be lying," the warring turtles whispered among themselves.

    Moroccan Quarter

    Moroccan Quarter and Western Wall
    Streetwise Jerusalem

Until 1967, this newish version of the Old City was divided in six parts. The Armenian, Christian, Jewish, Moroccan and Muslim Quarters were all dwarfed by the Temple Mount, Haram Al-Sharif. The Dome of the Rock on it dates to the 7th Century and is one of the oldest surviving structures in the city.
The Moroccan Quarter existed there had been established in 1193 by Saladin, as a waqf (Muslim charitable trust) dedicated to Moroccans. The religious/ethnic definition of the quarters is true historically, but not enforced by the different civilian authorities that controlled the area in recent centuries; all the quarters had mixed populations.
Following the 1967 War, the Moroccan Quarter, which was located in front of the Western Wall, the largest reminder of the Jewish Second temple, was removed by the IDF in order to create the large esplanade existing nowadays in front of the Wall. The remaining area of this quarter was annexed to the Jewish Quarter, the only reminder of the past being the Mughrabi Bridge.
According to Etan Ben Moshe, the IDF officer in charge of the crime, several persons died following their refusal to leave their homes. One woman from the quarter was buried beneath the rubble; her body was found the next morning under the ruins of her home. These unjustifiable acts of violence were perpetrated by the IDF to open a path to the Western Wall. On April 1968, the Israeli Ministry of the Treasury officially expropriated the land of the quarter for public use, along with the adjacent Jewish Quarter. Following the destruction, the section of the Wall dedicated to prayers was extended southwards.
In a place with such a long and complex history, things are multi-layered. The name of Morocco in Arabic is al-Mamlakat al-Maghribiyyah, which translates as The Western Kingdom; the Hebrew parallel is HaMamlakha HaMaaravit. The similarity between the Hebrew and the Arabic names is evident, even with the restrictions imposed by the use of Roman characters. This name is usually shortened to Al-Maghrib (The West). Thus, "Mughrabi Bridge," can be translated also as "Moroccan Bridge."
